Katherine A. D. Ryan, Associate
Kate Ryan has been an associate with Porzak Browning & Bushong LLP since 2007. Her practice focuses on assisting clients with water rights, real estate, land use and litigation matters.
Ms. Ryan graduated from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 2006. She was Editor-in-Chief of the Ecology Law Quarterly, and she received the Barry S. Sandals Fellowship for public interest environmental work. During law school Ms. Ryan clerked at the Trust for Public Land, Earthjustice, and the San Francisco office of Morrison & Foerster LLP. Prior to joining Porzak Browning & Bushong LLP, Ms. Ryan clerked for the Honorable Gregory J. Hobbs of the Colorado Supreme Court. Before beginning her legal career, Ms. Ryan received her B.S., magna cum laude, from the College of William & Mary in 1997, where she studied Environmental Science and completed an honors thesis in hydrology. She was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Ms. Ryan also completed an M.A. in Geography at the University of Colorado, specializing in Arctic Climatology, and worked for two years as an associate scientist at the National Snow and Ice Data Center in Boulder, Colorado.
